THE WATERCRAFT JOURNAL NAMES SEA-DOO GTI ‘WATERCRAFT OF THE YEAR’ FOR 2020
It comes as no shock to us that our Sea-Doo GTI SE 170 was awarded the top honour of watercraft of the year by The Watercraft Journal. The team states that it was “one of the easiest decisions they’ve made in years”. If you want to learn why, just read on!
Kevin Shaw and his team of enthusiasts at the Watercraft Journal have an extremely detailed evaluation routine to choose their top PWC. Each is scored on several factors including innovation, design, execution and effect on the overall market. For 2020, the GTI lead the way scoring 38 out of a possible 40 points in their evaluation.
The Sea-Doo GTI SE 170 received a 10 for innovation, 9 for design, 10 for execution and 9 for effect on the market, with comments that the model is “one of the most innovative, groundbreaking and just plain enjoyable PWC” that they've tested!
Some of the great features that this model has that Shaw commented on are the deep foot wells, unmatched Ergolock™ seating, removable rear passenger seat, and linq accessory attachment system that is able to haul any of our large range of Sea-Doo accessories.
The team was also impressed with the class leading 152.8L storage capacity, which includes the giant 8.8 litre glove box with watertight phone storage case. As for power, the 1630 ACE™ three cylinder engine is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever produced by ROTAX, allowing an insane acceleration of 170 horsepower.
